Transcript for "Behind the Scenes With EchoVideo: Insider Tips & Tricks in Time for This Semester": Welcome everybody to our webinar. This is gonna be behind the scenes with Echo360 videos, some insider tips and tricks just in time for this semester. I know a lot of semesters have kinda kicked off, and it's never too late to, you know, learn some new things and see how you can quickly improve and provide some more transformative experiences, for your students. You'll hear me say it once. You'll hear me say it a thousand times, but thank you, to everyone, for joining today. I see a lot of familiar names, even as we kinda scroll through the participants here. Hopefully, you guys, will be able to take advantage of the chat and the q and a, as we kinda move on through. But my name is Jason Sitek, and I'm a Echo360 customer learning expert, specifically with our Echo360 video product within the ecosystem, the world's first learning transformation platform. I'm excited to introduce, some powerful new features in Echo360 video, that are transforming how instructors and students, engage with some video content. So as we as we look in, this webinar is designed to help you get the most out of Echo360 video this academic semester. Firstly, driving better outcomes with new student tools available, deliver more consistent, usable, and scalable content without having to add to your existing workload. And we wanna ensure smooth integration with your LMS, and help streamline those from workflows. We're gonna review how, one of the coolest new features with Echo360 video and especially some of the updated, LTI or just, like, tool connection technology now allows for automatic gradebook sync between Echo360 video and your, LMS gradebook there. So before we get into that, you know, we just wanna, you know, quickly provide some additional information about just how transformative Echo360 video, is within the classroom. We've always been more than just a capture tool. So we are a platform built for equity, engagement, and evidence. And Ask Echo360, which we're gonna be looking at in great detail today, takes that mission even further. With Ask Echo360, every lecture video becomes an intelligent interactive learning experience that uses AI to automatically generate titles, descriptions, tags, chapters, even summaries, frequently asked questions, study cards, and even a quiz, all based on the captures transcript as it's loaded into Echo360 video. This means you as the instructor, you'll save time, students get more out of every video, and your institution can help build a a structured video library, supporting all of that learning. For example, we'll see as as we dive in here in in just a second. Once a student hits 80% of the video, Ask Echo360 automatically delivers the summary and study tools that that we just resolved. And a part of this webinar today is I wanna actually take it and, show you as an instructor how you can set that up, how you can take advantage of what Ask Echo360 has to offer in Echo Video. But I also wanna flip that and kinda look at the other side of the same coin and see what does it look like from the learner perspective when they click on one of these, links in their classroom. It takes them to their content. And as they view that session, when they hit that 80% mark, they're gonna be able to see all of the Ask Echo360 features right within that. So, Ask Echo360 is a cornerstone of our, innovation. We're gonna continue to build on it, as we go through it. I think I actually just said it in, in a meeting, prior to this one with another school is that, like, AI might be the two most important syllables, of our lifetimes, especially as we come, into this new era. And I don't even think we've come close to peaking with what AI is gonna provide, especially in higher education. So whether you're an instructional designer, an IT leader, or a faculty member, or a learner at the end of the day, Ask Echo360 is designed to help reduce the complexity, increase efficiency, and drive those measurable outcomes in your learning. And the best part, it integrates seamlessly into your existing workflows. No extra effort required, and we'll see how, easy it is to to take advantage of that. It's a simple toggle that you can turn on within your existing Echo360 video instance, to be able to take advantage of all of this. So, I wanna be very clear as well. There's no additional fee to take advantage, of Ask Echo and and take a look at, all those features as well. I mentioned also, you know, looking at, the automatic grade book sync, which we're gonna dive into. And then, I also wanna look at, like, what analytics are available and how easy it is, to continue to look at those. So just just one moment. I'm gonna share my screen, and then we will jump in and get started. Awesome. Well, first things first, we are now, in, my Canvas course. I'm gonna be working, just kind of demoing out of, Canvas as our LMS today. Big thing for for especially for the schools, where you may not be using Canvas as your learning management system, maybe you're using Blackboard or Brightspace e two l, Moodle, or any of the others, wanna be, you know, very transparent that everything you're gonna see here, we can also accomplish, in any of those other LMSs as well. So don't hesitate to reach out to, support@echo360.com or your customer success manager, if you need any help taking advantage of of some of these tools as we're looking in. So, scrolling into Canvas, we'll notice a couple things right away is I've got some links over here. This one pointing to the consolidated analytics. So I can see the analytics for content that's been added into my classroom regardless of how that content is put in there. So if it's linked via the traditional LTI tool, or if it's embedded or deep linked into a module, like a discussion post or a page, we're gonna be able to get analytics from that, and you can see how your students are are pulling that in. Over on the left hand side, we'll also see I've got my folders link right from here. And this is where Echo360 video kind of looking ahead into the future really starts to really starts to come home. Folders have been a feature that we've had available, first in preview, and now they're generally available as a feature you can turn on in your institution settings in Echo360 video that really represent the future of, video content management in Echo360 video. We've had our legacy courses and section structure for a number of years, and it's been just super reliable in providing that. But we always wanna be, innovative and understanding what the needs are of not only our school but other organizations looking to take advantage of Echo360. And folders represents that in in some really great ways. With that, also comes, a lot of these features also built on the new LTI Advantage protocol, LTI one dot three, which is why you'll see that I've kind of, like, named it there so I can distinguish it in my learning management system. And, sometimes, you'll hear me joke around with, some other, institutions or or if we're on a call, it's like, I always try to think of lti1.3 sort of like, you know, waiting for technology to catch up with, like, what we want what we've always wanted to do, with Echo360 video. So kind of like a really famous example in Hollywood is, like, James Cameron knew that he wanted to make the movie Avatar a long time ago, but had to wait for technology to catch up so that he could essentially implement the vision in the way that he wanted to. And it feels like we're at a similar moment with Echo360 Video is is now that we've got, LTI one dot three that provides the launchpad for a number of those features that we've always wanted to implement, starting with folders and automatically book sync and all the other stuff that that comes along there. So let's first let's go in. Let's take a look at this folder, and then we also wanna dive in and and show you, right from the get go how easy it is to take advantage of of Ask Gecko. So as as I click on my link, we've got this one set up. It's gonna keep me framed in by Canvas. I absolutely, love how LMSs function like that because I think it's a really helpful way, to just intentionally drive traffic through your learning management system. It's one of those resources where, especially in higher ed, pretty much everybody's gonna get an email address when they become either, like, a student or employee of the university. And we're seeing a huge number of higher ed institutions, especially, here in The States, start to provide LMS accounts, not only for their faculty, not only for their students, but their staff as well because their tool is designed to deliver, you know, learning tools, knowledge, and becomes a great repository to keep building on. So this is, brought us into our folder. The first thing I wanna look at though is I wanna click into my library, and I wanna come on in here and I wanna see and I'm gonna make a quick copy of this so that we can, come back and do this as often as we need to. So when I come over, I've got my cell membranes video right here as an instructor. And when I click, you'll notice, the media details page has been updated. We there was an update we pushed out a a little bit this summer. I love it because it takes the the details and really puts them front and center, like, of your media. You're in here because you need to manage the title. You need to, you know, add a description or metadata tags, anything like that. Maybe you need to quickly jump into our editor or you need to quickly edit some transcripts, or you wanna make it interactive and add some additional, polling right from here. You'll also notice a new item over on the left hand side, and that is our chapters icon, where you can auto it auto generate chapters like wink, wink, nudge, nudge. We're gonna show you how easy that is with Echo360 here in a second. You can add those chapters manually or you can, import chapters if it's this is some external video where those chapters were already generated. Love the idea of chapters, especially, you know, you think about, when we're watching, you know, long form video. Maybe it's a maybe it's a video podcast. Maybe it's a a a vlog or a video blog or or somewhere where there's kind of, like, some topic changes, and you think about the way that you're watching that content is you'll go down, you look at the table of contents and see, well, where does the topic change to what, like, is the most relevant to my need as to why I, like, clicked into this video or wanted to watch it? And sometimes you might see, you know, something discussed, like, I don't really wanna watch that. But later, you're like, oh, at this point, this is where the topic flips. And I'm very interested, in in that particular topic. I actually just did that exact same thing because I was kinda getting ready for, the to come into work this morning with, you know, listening to a a podcast and looked through and saw, like, okay. This is where the topic changes, and this is exactly what, what I wanted to listen to here. So we're gonna come back over into the the details area. We'll notice here I've got, you know, my title. I don't have a description or any tags added yet. And especially for, faculty or, especially administrators or schedulers in echo video, you guys have probably noticed that if it's a scheduled capture, depending on how many captures you have in that sequence, when they're scheduled, they all have the same title, which can be you know, you can go in. You can always edit them. But for students, a lot of times, it's like, hey. I missed a class or I need to go back and review when we talk about this one item in class. The easiest way to figure out, like, which lecture they need to go back and relaunch is to, you know, watch the, or to to read the title and get in from there. With Echo360, we're gonna be able to generate that really quickly. So even your scheduled captures, even though they might say biology one zero one and you've got 16 different ones for that weekly class as the semester goes on, with Echo360, you can quickly generate a title so that students will get a, topical video contexted, title as a part of that. And so we will accomplish that by, in this details area, coming over and clicking on Echo360. And we'll get the quick rundown as well that it generates, you know, structured, searchable, and engaging metadata for your content. And so you can kinda choose, how you'd like that. If you wanted to toggle something off, if you didn't wanna generate chapters, you can manage all of that. What we'll see is that Echo360 will generate a title, a description. We'll tag that content. We'll provide a summary, FAQs, study cards, and, also a multiple choice quiz as a part of that. All of this is designed to, help drive the learning and and provide, additional impression and engagement of your content onto the student, based on what's spoken in that transcript. So I'm gonna go ahead and hit generate all, and we'll see this is a fifty nine second or a fifty nine minute and fifty nine second video. So this is this will take a long time to do if we were gonna do all of these different things manually, but we'll see how fast Echo360 or Ask Echo is able to generate all of this content. And you get a quick little status bar as all these things are happening. We're already halfway done of generating all that. The quiz, I've noticed, usually is kinda like that that last to last to complete there. But look, as as soon as all that information gets pushed out, we've noticed a couple of things have already happened, you know, here on the, on the menu. One is that we've seen, the title update automatically, one from cell and cell membranes, to now a very topic centric title, exploring cell membrane structure, components, and functions. We can see over on the right hand side that we get a description that's already been added in there as well as a number of topical, a number of, topical tags as as we come through here. What I also want to to emphasize is that you always maintain complete creative control over what has been generated by Echo360. So not only can we generate the content here with the Echo360 tab, as we come down here into the Echo360 generated content, you can now see, in total what has been generated by that, by the Echo360 tool. So we can see the summary as we scroll through. We can see the main points. We can see all those are generated. We can also see the takeaways. Let's say, for example, that I don't want this point number four to be included in that. All I need to do is delete it, and I can go in and save those changes. And now those are saved. You can you see we've also got our, text editor bar here where you can do some basic formatting, on those changes as well. Right now, Echo360 is, at a content by content level. We would really appreciate your feedback, especially if you're familiar with using, Canny, which is our feature request board. If if there's a lot of interest in maybe having this generate either at, like, an institutional level or a folder level, that sort of thing, that's the feedback that we would, love to hear from you. As we scroll on down through, we'll see here's, you know, the Echo360 FAQs, which will display out for the students, and you can, expand out and and control any number of those as we go through it. As we come on down, we'll see which questions have been sort of, like, designed for the study cards. And the study cards are, like, a virtual example of probably exactly what you're thinking of. We're all familiar with or at least I remember, you know, making flashcards particularly for, the multiplication table or just facts that I wanted to remember and be able to quickly remember. I've got, school age kids at home, so all the time, we're kind of putting things on note cards and flipping them around to help, to help them learn, and it's just such a foundational great way, to emphasize that learning as well. So think about a study card is you've got a definition on one side or a, you know, phrase on one side and kinda note in your head what it is, and then you can flip it over, and you can see if you're right or wrong on the other side, of that study card as well. So, looking looking through here, you can, you know, come in. Again, just click into an area. If you realize that something is, you know, not correct or needs to be edited, you can make those changes and save them, and they'll get pushed out, to those study cards as the learners use use it. You can even delete entire, you know, parts of the study card, you know, for like, right here to describe the structure and function, of the mitochondria, this last one. Let's say again, you know, I don't really wanna have, you know, this part in here. I can simply delete this As with everything in Echo360 or, everything in Echo360, if you're deleting something and it's permanently deleted, we always give you the prompt. Like, are you sure you wanna do this? And now we've deleted that part of the study card, right in here. And then lastly, if we come on down, we can see, you know, all of our questions for the multiple choice, study quiz. I really love these quizzes. When we flip over to, like, view this from the learner side, I think we'll get a better idea or you guys will get a much better idea of, like, just how valuable this is because you've got your video. And, obviously, an echo video as well, you can also make things interactive, where you can embed the polling right into, you know, right into the video player, and it kind of, like, gatekeeps it, and that sort of thing. So, when we're kinda thinking about, like, the the quiz within Ask Echo360, I think it provides, like, a an awesome kind of, like, knowledge check, almost like pit stop between just video or a video quiz with, like, embedded polling, and the interactive media is now you've got a quiz, that you can retake multiple times, test your knowledge, and really make sure that that you're driving, all of that home. And so, you know, all these study cards will appear in the student engagement pane as we're, viewing this as a learner. We'll we'll take a look at that, here in just a second. So, something to kinda think about, with Ask Echo360 as well. If you guys haven't made kind of, like, the switch or or aren't thinking about, you know, going to folders just yet, Ask Echo360 is is a brand new feature, and we're super excited to debut that through, not only LTI 1 dot three, but also, our new folders functionality. So, wanna, you know, show that off here in just a second. So let me go ahead. I'm gonna stop sharing. I'm gonna reshare my screen so we can look at this, from the learner's perspective, and then we'll jump back in, you know, towards the end, to to take a look at some of the other features we talked about. Alright. Great stuff. So here I am. I'm I'm back in Canvas, but rather than, rather than as an instructor, we can see here, you know, I'm logged in as, as my favorite test student here. I'm here in my course, and I'm gonna go ahead and I'm gonna click on my one dot three folders link to get into my course content for Echo360 video here. I'm gonna go ahead and, launch this first session right from here, And we could see I've actually already watched, to the end of this video. So I watched more than 80% of it. And over here on the right hand side is where we'll see the Ask Echo360 information, live. So when we click over and we'll view it right from here, along with all of the other information that you're already used to, you know, you've got your student you've got your student note taking pane here, where you can flag, bookmark, or even notate content, to take notes as a learner. It's time stamped. You can click on it, and it'll immediately bring you to that point in context in the video or the presentation. We've got our great q and a, as always. That's gonna continue to be a foundational part of the Echo360 video experience. And then also as we look, at our transcript, can't, oh, can't emphasize it enough just how important the transcript is, particularly for Echo360 video, and and for Ask ECHO not only from, you know, the accessibility standpoint of being able to have a running transcript, edit that using our transcript editor, then push that out, as a closed caption track. But with Echo360, that is what we are looking at, to generate all of the information, like the study cards and the summary and the FAQs is looking at that transcript so that you can know that we're not generating anything that wasn't actually spoken, in that capture, as a as a part of it. So, you know, we saw with kind of all the control that that you had, as as you go back in on the media details page, if there's something in there that you're like, I don't need that pushed out as part of, like, the Echo360 part, you can just delete it, or change it altogether if you need to. But as a user, I can click right from here, and now here's my summary. I can get an idea of exactly what is being spoken about in this particular video. So I'll see the main points here depending on the length of the video or or the detail into which the the capture is going into. There may be more or fewer of those takeaways and main points. I can see FAQs that will represent, just some, you know, frequently asked questions, exactly what the abbreviation stands for, and I can expand those out and, even save them, into my notes area if I would like. As we look at the study cards, I think this is where a lot of the, just just the outcomes and our focus, on learning gets super, important and and really become the paramount part of the Echo360 experience is we can now flip the card. Let's say I didn't know the answer to that. Well, now I can look at it and kind of each time, you know, you think about as you go through flashcards, you know, which ones did you get right? You put them in one pile and you keep going with the ones that you got wrong until you're confidently, and engagingly getting every single, you know, question or or concept right. You can continue to flip through those as often or as many times as you need to. And once you get to the end, you can always click back. If you have to jump to another section, you can come on back, and you can start right back over and go through them again. The video quiz or the practice quiz, I love that we call it a practice quiz because, like I said, I think it kind of, like, straddles that area between, like, a a a summative style video quiz and, like, more of, like, a formative, like, kind of, like, knowledge check. But, again, using the transcript, it's the information that you discussed, in your capture as well that makes it a really, you know, intuitive part and and knowing that the students aren't being quizzed, on concepts and topics that that you brought up, in your capture. I confess, I don't know the most about this topic despite the number of times that I have shown this off. So, we're gonna do the absolute best that I can. I'm gonna keep moving through. You know, when in doubt, you know, sometimes you you hit c, but I I do like to vary it up a little bit as we go through and see all of our multiple choice questions. As we saw on that media details page when I was logged in as an instructor earlier, if I wanted to, you know, reduce the number of question options, I could do so. I could also edit the question if I needed to. Maybe I didn't want this one to be a multiple choice. Just a little question editing, you could make it into a true false, really really quite easily from there. And I think I got one more. Oh, no. Let's see how I did. I'm super nervous. Two two out of eight, is is not fantastic, but you can see very quickly, I get the ideas that I can go ahead and and I can try again or even a I can click view and immediately get context of, like, what answer, am I missing, and and go right from there. So, I did see a question, you know, in the chat about, you know, Ask Echo360. We're we're looking at the we're looking at the transcript to generate all of this information. So as the institution, you can know none of your lecture, none of your information is getting exposed outside of the echo video, environment into which it was uploaded. We're extremely grateful and continuing to, you know, leverage, some great partners like, AWS, Bedrock for, everything that we're doing with Ask Echo and and expect to, you know, provide a lot more, as time goes on and and the innovation continues, ultimately to provide, you know, more tools, to make it more clear for your students and your learners, how they can absorb this knowledge that you're teaching them, through their videos as well. So, that is Ask Gecko. We're gonna jump back out into our folders right from here. You'll notice we've divided up, the the folder rather than using kind of, like, the class terminology that you saw in your, you know, your courses and section structure. We've elected to go with, sessions, for folders, which I think makes things, like, super clear just about how you can go through and and view all of that. You can launch your session right from here. We've also got an example of interactive media right down here where you can, also upload or where, you know, where you've got the the embedded questions that that your users can go ahead and take right from there. And so as they go through they're kind of, you know, going through, okay. Here's the session today. Just like the just like the classes, in the in the course and section structure, you can add a start time. You can add, you know, an end time on that for kind of your organization. Or for something more asynchronous or kind of persistent, you can remove that altogether and have them post right from here. Something we'll notice that is very unique to the, folders, that's not available in kind of the legacy courses and section structure is this file area. I love this. The the file area is a chance for you as the instructor to upload what's typically been kinda like some nontraditional files in Echo360 video. In this case, I've got two CSV files right from here that I just uploaded into this course. Another way to think of it is, let's say, you've got all of your sessions and and all of your video content or interactive media in your folder, but there's some, you know, worksheets or handouts or just additional information and and resources that you want to upload to a folder to make those available to your students to help them be successful in the course. You can put them, you know, right here in this file theory, and it almost kinda acts more like a digital asset management style tool to give, all of your viewers or all of your learners all the tools that they need in order to to be successful right from there. So I can simply click on here. Got a little bit of a virus scan, and then, we can go ahead and download that or even, you know, delete them if I need to if if I was the, instructor here in the course. So I can always come back and and view all of that. Obviously, I'm still framed out within Canvas, and and can go right from there. Saw a question from, you know, Tim just kinda come into the chat real fast. We need to have lti one .three, to use these features. As far as, with Echo360, does require, you know, accessing a folder through lti1.3 and having that, toggled on, kinda when we get to the end. We should should be able to have some time to review that as an admin and what that looks like, to be able, to toggle that on for your institution. As I mentioned as well, your customer success manager or our support team are standing by. We we would love to help you guys get this, installed and and coordinated if you're in need of kind of, like, a test area or even like a, know, kind of like a dev sandbox, so to speak. We can also help you out with that so that you can, get a kinda just get the workflow down and and understand it as you begin communicating that out to, your faculty and users as well. But we are so excited about what the future holds for Echo360 video, particularly with all these new features that that we've been able to introduce. So, I am gonna stop sharing, real fast. I'm gonna jump back over, into my, instructor view here. And let's see. Bring this back up because I mentioned something earlier, you know, as we were looking, at how you can integrate all of this, into some of your workflows, you can also have automatic gradebook sync, which is a new feature that came in with LTI one dot three here into Echo360 video. So I'm gonna click on my link over here, and it's gonna bring me to our consolidated analytics page for this particular course. And here I can see all of my content that's been uploaded, into this course. Just like you could in the, like, courses and and sections analytics, you can, click on a particular capture, and now you can see exactly, you know, which student, watched which part of the video, how long they watch, what's their average view percentage, all of these all of these different items as well. We'll click back to just get back to, like, the main parts of the analytics. You can also see a breakdown of the polling. So this is a polling specific area so that you can understand exactly, you know, which polling questions we're seeing, which we're not seeing, did the student submit an answer, did they get that submitted answer correct, all the really important metrics that that you would need to, to see how, your students are consuming all of that. But over here on, the left as well is where we can also go into the Gradebook, and I love that we got the little, you know, keep it 100, emoji right from there. And this is where you can manage what data is passed back to your LMS Gradebook for each metric added. So you can add multiple. You can see, once we do that, there's also, like, a sync now function if you needed to just, like, you know, really push forward with the sync rather than waiting to to until, like, the end of, the time. But I wanna look here and show you how easy it is to go ahead, and set that up. I think, you know, when we think about, especially, a lot of institutions where they're trying to measure by kind of, like, that ad drop or that census date, like, which student completed, you know, like, meaningful academic work in the course to determine if they're gonna get dropped or not. This is an awesome way to set that. Think about, you know, you do a quick capture of your syllabus review and maybe, you've got either, you know, like, an embedded question, into there, where the students would kind of, like, answer that at the end. And then what you could do is take this learning metric and have it say, hey. You need to watch, you need to watch this video by the end of this week. And we'll see when we click the add a metric. We can start a metric from scratch here. You can also determine the schedule of that automatic sync. So if this is an item where something has to be completed by a specific due date one time, we could go ahead and set this. So if I set this to end on 09/19, for example, which is, the end of this week on Friday starting today, it means that it's gonna sync based on this date range one time. So even if a user comes in and they do something on the twentieth and they complete exactly the same work in that interactive media that, you know, that that had been required of them, but they do it after, the due date or kind of, like, the sync time range, it's not gonna push that, over to the Gradebook. And so you've got a really empirical way to make sure that that is getting measured. We give this a a a title here, and you can see, you know, the Gradebook will sync automatically on the selected schedule from the start date. So if weekly is selected and the start date is Monday, then the sync will occur every Monday until the end date you have specified. So here, we can also choose, like, which, which content that we want this to happen for. So all current and the future content, everything that's currently, in the course or or in the folder or specific content in that sense. So let's say for here, I wanna create a a metric for, this browser capture, only this one. And then we'll go ahead and click next right from here. In this case, I could say, how do you want this, grade book columns created? Do I want them all synced into one column? Because I've only chosen one piece of media, at least the others grayed out. But what that means is if you choose multiple pieces, you could have separate columns for, each gradebook item. Once they're in the gradebook, as you know, you can kinda move them around and and massage that a little bit based on, like, your Gradebook settings. So if you needed to move it to a category for, say, like, video viewing or video participation and you wanted to weight that differently, you could take advantage of the additional tools in your LMS Gradebook, to be able to have that synced over. And then you could say, what do you want to have synced? And here's where you can, very simply say the average percent viewed, the total percent viewed. If there's activities there, you've also or by activities, I mean, like, embedded polling questions or, anything like that. You've also got the similar, features to say, I want the total response rate. So that idea would be, if there's five questions embedded, did they answer all five of them? The correct response rate would be, did they submit all five of them? Of those five, like, which ones did they get correct? So if they only got three out of the five correct, then we would push over, like, a 60%, note right for there. I'm gonna go ahead and say, the the percentage viewed, And we'll go ahead and and click save, right from there to go ahead and and build out that, that metric. Let's see. See, kind of scrolling back through and and answering a couple questions as, as we look right from here. Oh, I forgot to give this a name. And so once, once we've done that, we'll see you know, it's gonna say this gradable item, when it's gonna, you know, sync that over, create Book EV, and it'll send the average percentage viewed. I can also go ahead and, you know, click sync now and immediately, force that over as well. So super helpful to be able to push that out very quickly. I can also go through if I wanna set up, you know, a brand new metric right from here. And you'll notice I'm actually gonna click out of this is when I click add metric, we've been building one right from scratch. We also, have the ability to create, like, global metrics, as an administrator. If you're an administrator in Echo360 video, you can create some, like, commonly used or very frequently needed metrics, and then you could, you know, put those out to the different folders or or the different LTI links to take advantage, of that. So kind of the best way to think of it is users don't have to recreate the the Gradebook metric wheel every time, especially if in every single class, there's gonna be a requirement to do, like, a, you know, census or add drop style activity to to measure that. Similar to how, we kinda do it with, interactive media is once you've created a question, that poll question, also gets left, in your library and gets left in your in your poll library so that you can easily bring it into other content that you wanna make interactive as well without having to, you know, jump in and out, and and recreate all those questions. But, again, we can just very quickly start if we wanna, you know, continue moving through. Let's say I wanna have a, a a weekly wanna have a a a weekly sync here and have it run through kind of our, holiday season. You'll see I also get a a total number of how many occurrences that is right from there. We'll say specific content, and we'll use our other capture, which, which is loaded in here. Let's say the total percentage viewed, and we'll go ahead and click save. And that immediately, you know, creates it right from there, and we'll begin, syncing that. So super excited to help automate a lot of these workflows. I think, you know, this is probably every instructor who I ever showed, like, our kind of, like, older analytics and and gradebooks to. I always got the question, like, how can we sync automatically to that? And, the great thing about Echo360 is nothing's ever really hard in Echo360, so it was very easy to, like, manually push those over using, like, our legacy tools, but we're so excited and so thrilled to have a automated way of doing that. So you can, you know, kind of set it and almost kind of forget about it, because you know that it's gonna push right over into that grade book and make sure that all the users get everything that they need right from there. Lastly, I did mention something, you know, with, with, being able to easily embed that. And with LTI one dot three, we've also got a great, additional way to to embed, content into that. You you've likely seen it before. Obviously, we've got a really great, embedding system, with Echo360 that takes advantage, you know, within the rich content editor, to embed straight from your library. LTI one dot three continues that, and allows you to to also take advantage of that as well just by bringing up, our file picker right from here to be able to quickly embed any number, or a piece of the content right into there. Here's my, I love this video. It's Cucullois playing Thunderstruck by ACDC. You can go ahead and click next. Choose your size. Put that right in there as well and click embed. And then it goes ahead and and will embed that, right in there. So if you're not taking advantage of some of the, like, embedding or deep leaking tools already, would really encourage you to do so. I think this really opens the door for a lot of, you know, even student submitted video responses in that sense within Echo360 video. And you can do this anywhere that this text editor, appears within your LMS, which essentially is anywhere that you're putting in something meaningful, using the text right from there. So we'll go ahead and and click reply. Bear with me one more time. I'm gonna I'm gonna log back out or I'm gonna stop sharing my screen. Wanna show the admins where they can go in and and take a look. At a lot of these features kinda to to close-up. Love to see all the questions that we've got in the chat. If there's some that we're not able to get to, we'll make sure that we follow-up with you, either myself or, your customer success manager to make sure that we, get some time to to get all your questions answered as well. So bear with me just one moment. Here we go. We are rounding third coming home on, on our tips and tricks behind the scenes webinar here. So I'm logged back into Echo360 video, directly in echo360.org as an administrator. We can we can click in. If you've got folders turned on at, at your institution, this is also where you can come in and and see all the the different folders across the institution. In this case, because this was a a folder that was provisioned directly through an LTI link, we had a category right here for LTI parent, and I can quickly see which courses, are tied to an LTI course, as a part of that. One of the things and I was an an administrator of Echo360 video for, I don't know, almost seven years, even before I joined Echo360 proper. What I love about folders is the ability to quickly, you know, take some of these folders right here. I can edit the details of my folder. And if I realize that I actually wanna move this to a different parent folder or I wanna add it to a different term, I can very quickly do so just by editing the details on that folder, which is which is super helpful right from there. You can also manage a lot of those terms and and whatnot up here at the top. We're gonna click into the institution settings. As as we come on in here, you'll see all of the Ask Echo360 features are gonna be listed here in our feature spotlight. So this is where you can come on in and you can see, the Ask Echo360 chaptering and metadata. So this is where you're gonna turn it on for the instructors to be able to generate, that information. Again, with Ask Echo360 enabled, you can generate the title, description, tags, summary, chapters, FAQs, study cards, and quizzes. That list has gotten longer since we introduced the feature, so, get a little bit more out of breath every time I I say it. And we do have the note there as well that Ask Echo360 features are available for content added to folders. So not currently available for, like, like, embedded or, like, section content. So a great great motivation to start exploring folders and how the innovations that we're already providing in there can, you know, exceed what you're already getting, with the ever reliable Echo360 video. We also, you know, started introducing, you know, our our launch dates as well as, like, our permanent activation dates. And when we say permanent activation date, that means that it becomes a toggle that you can decide whether or not you wanna toggle it on or off for the institution. Institution, but it's a generally available feature, you know, widely across all of, our our partner institutions and organizations. And then as we look at the Ask Echo360 content visibility, this is the, this is the toggle for making that content visible to your learners and to your students, which I answered the question, earlier in the chat. So, while you could have this toggled off and the the instructor could still go in, find that content, generate the Ask Echo360 information to be able to provide all that, you can decide, you know, if you wanna have that, you know, pushed out to your students once they hit that, 80% mark, right from there. So, again, Echo360, we're we're leveraging, AWS Bedrock, as a part of that. Their AWS is just a fantastic partner for us, and and we do a lot with them on on transcription already. I see, see that question, in the chat, and and we'll make sure to to get those answered in, in some greater detail as we follow-up as well. Mentioned some of the, Gradebook metrics, as we as we look through here, as we come into, let's see, our roles and permissions as well. Oh, actually, wanna go into the orgs, and departments. So features. Oh. Oh, no. I seem to have lost my way here real fast. Apologies all. As we look at our LMS and virtual learning environment integration, this is where, as an administrator, you can come in and set a lot of those, admin defaults for the automatic gradebook sync. So, for example, as we mentioned, let's say there's an add drop, activity. You can so if you wanna have that, you know, go once, and we'll have the start date be see if that runs through. Yeah. Basically, from Friday to Sunday, we'll go ahead and sync that, and we can have it be for, you know, content, or call current and future content in a course. And you can say total response rate. Let's say it's a a piece of, embedded, media right from there. And we'll call this notebook save. So this is now a metric which has been added, at the institution level so that when any instructor clicks on their, you know, consolidated analytics or goes into that grade book area, they'll be able to choose this as, like, a prefabbed, automatic grade book sync metric. So they don't have to, like, recreate the wheel and then just, like, recreate the same activity over and over again, especially if they're teaching multiple courses, as well. So I'm gonna quickly, click right in here. Appreciate, all of your feedback. We will definitely get you guys all some, recordings. AskEcho, I I see a comment in there that we can use this on all media with a transcript. So as long as you're generating a transcript or there's a transcript generated for a particular, capture in there, you can go back and and, utilize AskEcho, as a part of that. So it's a great opportunity if you if you're not currently using, transcription, which I would encourage everyone to. You've also got some great features in there, particularly within Echo360 Video to be able to, you know, push the transcripts out as a closed caption track on top of that. So especially for, universities and and institutions with that unlimited transcription level, you can exponentially increase the amount of closed caption content that you've got, by utilizing it through that transcript. And it's not just from that point forward, you can go back and and have a transcript applied, to content in the past if if there's not one already. And so that's available to, any users to be to be able to go in, and do that as well. I'm gonna keep on, scrolling through. I see a question. So when the instruct when the student clicks on, ask echo, are they seeing are they all seeing the instructor reviewed? Let's see. A little more summary and FAQs. The the student will see whatever is generated by Ask Echo360. It is, it is an instructor triggered action, in the capture. So Ask Echo360, while it can be turned on and available, it is on a content by content basis. So it would be up to the owner of that content to go into the media details page, and I'll I'll demonstrate that again right here. So as I click into my library and I enter that area, it is up to me as the owner of that content to come in and click Ask Echo360, and, you know, generate the content that I need to. And I can go into this generated content area, and update that, change it, edit it so that once I make the changes here and I save them, they're pushed out very similar to how, like, our media editor works when you when you're, you know, taking something off the end or taking something off the beginning. It goes ahead and pushes that out to anywhere that that capture is is being utilized. And, you know, even Katie said, man, Katie, I feel like I owe you a cup of coffee for for some of these comments right in here, that the content in Ask Echo360, is totally editable by the instructor, you know, prior prior to going out there. So, I do see that there's, a number of questions in here which I love. You know, again, you can use Ask Echo360 to go ahead and and create tags and and summaries of older videos as well. You don't need to copy them. I simply made a copy from my library to show it because, I know I'm gonna duplicate that action on on a piece of content a number of times. So think about it this way. If if you've been a really long time customer with us and you're like, man, I've been using this one video since, like, 02/2018, go find it in your library. And with Ask Echo turned on, you can generate all the information that you just saw here, on that video. Even though it's, you know, made in the past, you can always regenerate that. And and now you've, I think, increased the amount of value that it's got, for those students as as they can take advantage of of all of those. So, we're we're super excited, about everything, everything here. Lastly, you know, I see, Georgie's, question. You know, does each institution and each lecturer have the choice, you know, whether or not to use Ask ECHO, for Echo360 and and Echo Video? Absolutely. It is your choice. We this can be turned on, but that does not mean that it has to be utilized if you don't want to for a particular capture, at at any level there. So you've always got, complete control over that and and kind of the flexibility there. We'd love to hear your feedback on on how we can, you know, improve anything if if it needs some additional needs needs met. It's something I've always loved about echo three sixty in particular is just how responsive we are, and and we wanna take all of that feedback and and help make ourselves better to help make you guys better as as you're going out and dealing with students. So, again, my name is Jason Sitek. It's been an absolute pleasure, to be with you guys today for this webinar. We will send out a recording afterwards. If there's any follow-up questions or additional info you'd like to see, please reach out, to your customer success manager, and we would be happy to get something on the schedule. But, we're just so excited about everything that Ask Gecko and and all our automated workflows, especially with the Gradebook, are doing. If there's anything we can do to make it even better, let us know. Thank you very much for being with us here today. Thank you.
